Irish Community Archive Network (ICAN) 

The Inniscarra Historical Society iCAN (Irish Community Archive Network) new website has just been launched. iCAN is a national project involving about 50 historical society online archives in Ireland. The national iCAN project launched in 2009, is coordinated by the National Museum, and strongly supported by the The National Heritage Council, and County Heritage Officers. Our society has been working on this project since October 2025.

 

The Inniscarra Historical Society iCAN online archive has 24 posts (articles) about various aspects of the heritage of the Inniscarra area. On each Friday at 9.00 am, between now and August, three or four new posts will be added each week. By that time the website will have about 70 posts available online.
